ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Ophthalmology at AIIMS, Rajkot was established on 31st December 2021.
In our pursuit of quality, we are in the dynamic and progressive process of equipping our department with the latest equipment. Our department is focussed to develop a multidisciplinary approach to better understand, diagnose and cure a range of ocular diseases. We are committed to offering the best possible treatment our patients presenting with a variety of ophthalmic complaints. With a team of bright, dedicated minds on our side, we look forward to a future that is rich in research activity and pertinent scientific investigations while also offering outstanding patient management.
VISION
To establish a pioneer Ophthalmology department in Western India that is driven by knowledge and research and uses cutting-edge teaching and learning approaches to develop students' and teachers' skills.

ACADEMICS and Research
The Department of Ophthalmology is currently engaged in the clinical training of MBBS students, offering practical training in patient diagnosis and management while employing the most up-to-date departmental facilities.
Regular seminars and clinical demonstration classes are an integral part of teaching programs.
Both intramural and extramural projects approved by the IEC are ongoing by various faculty members.
